The scene was set in a rural landscape with a man and a boy fishing
was his 260th painting and his 3rd to appear on the cover of The Saturday Evening Post in 1949
The first printing was done with only one color just to prove size and species but at some point evolved to more colors to bring out a more artful rendition of the subject
