two of which are set with diamonds and two with cabochon turquoises

In 1649 King Charles I was executed for treason. Stuart crystal jewellery were made to show support and sympathy for the Stuart monarchy and the deceased king. Each crystal is an elegant square with angular corners and red pink foil backing. Jewels were foil backed to capture all the surrounding light by day or candle light.
