Merian Botanicals (7) Wolfhound Paper: 23 x 29"MERIAN BOTANICALS Matthaus Merian (1593 1650) produced one of the most beautiful engraved books of the 17th century. The 400 plates within Der Fruchtbringeden Gesellschaft Nahmen (1646) were each dedicated to a single flower, fruit or tree and set against a German town or landscape.
