Jarl Seax RecycledThe ubiquitous sidearm of the Viking age, the seax, is a simple, single edged knife. They varied widely in size and intended function; from short, everyday woodworking or eating tools, to long combat weapons. The Jarl Seax is of the latter type, and would not be out of place hanging from the belt of a great chieftain. The 10" 'broken back' style blade is hand forged from 1 8" thick O1 Tool steel and features narrow fullers on either side of the blade.

Each leaf is shaped and then strongly riveted to a brown leather strap using solid brass rivets

The antimicrobial properties of wool means less washing

The feather itself is made with vegetable tanned leather while the lace will be a lighter weight upholstery or garment leather in shades of brown
